This group of twelve watercolours on Asian topics were commissioned in 2001 by Rome’s Empire Palace Hotel.

Every watercolour derives from a single stylistic theme of symbolic representation of a natural element (water, trees, atmosphere…). Their inspiration came from Chinese, Japanese, and Indian paintings, repeated and treated as decorative elements.
